Welcome to the Marian, Kuching’s very first Heritage Boutique Lodging House,  a sister property of the Ranee Boutique Suites.

The Marian is situated in the heart of Kuching town,  just 5 minutes walk to the Kuching Waterfront.  Perched on top of a hill, it is restored from a pre-war family mansion that later became an all girls St Mary’s boarding house and a diocesan centre for St Thomas Cathedral.  A building which is more than 100 years old.  The building has been painstakingly restored to reflect its original  heritage, old look and charm.  A black and white theme is apparent throughout the lodging house, playing along the lines of Reminiscing the Past.

The Marian comprises 40 rooms of interesting room category mix, ranging from dormitory style standard rooms, family rooms and best of all,  to a 2-bedroom apartment.  All rooms are ensuite.   You will be charmed and captivated by the old architectural style of its timber interiors  that will transport you back in time.

Rates are very affordable ranging from RM80 to RM485 inclusive of breakfast.

Facilities include a swimming pool and a gift shop “The Ranee Gift Gallery @ Wayang Street” conveniently located next to the reception area.

There is also a large dining hall which seats 100 guests or 200 for cocktails.  It is called The Granary Kitchen + Bar.
